After a grading period has ended, classes may become archived. If you still need to review grades there are 2 options you can use.
1. Review grade summaries by downloading a report.
To review grade summaries for an archived class, first go to the Archived tab of the Class Management section of your Big Ideas platform. From here, click on the name of the class you wish to view. Even if the name is faded, it will still be clickable.
Then you can click on the bar graph icon to see a summary score for each assignment or click on the download arrow to download a grade book CSV file that shows each student’s score on each assignment from the grading period.
2. Review full assignment reports by temporarily unarchiving a class.
To unarchive your class, first go to the Archived tab of the Class Management section of your Big Ideas platform. Then check the box for the class you wish to unarchive. When the box is check, the Extend End Date button will become visible in the top left-hand corner. When you click on the button, the class date will be extended for 7 days, and it will return to the Active tab.
You will have full excess to that class and all assignment reports for those 7 days, then it will archive again. You can always come to the Archived tab and extend it again if needed. This feature should be used to view grades only. It is best to use your Active classes for new semester content and assignments for students.
