Teachers can continue to use their self-registered accounts all year. Students must be registered to an active class to access the Big Ideas Math online resources. An active class has an end date that is not in the past. Teachers can create new classes for the summer or extend the expiration date on existing classes so their students can access the content over the summer.
When a district pauses their sync before the end of the school year, teachers will still be shared with the Big Ideas Math application and will have access to the resources. Students are only able to access content at BigIdeasMath.com via Clever if they are assigned to an active class. An active class has an end date that is not in the past. The district can share active summer classes or extend the end-date on existing classes so that students can continue to access the platform over the summer.
